São Paulo

AN AERONAUTICS POWERHOUSE

The State of São Paulo is home to the largest aerospace hub in Latin America, which is located in the São José dos Campos region.

The Brazilian aerospace industry as a whole is the biggest in the Southern Hemisphere, with its largest representative company being Embraer. This firm produces commercial, military and executive aircraft and is currently the third most important aerospace manufacturer in the world.

The boom in the Brazilian aerospace industry in recent years has seen the country become well integrated into the global supply chain. However, the market still offers opportunities, such as in the maintenance and repair sub-sector that has been enjoying annual growth of 5-6 percent over the last few years.

In addition, the State of São Paulo hosts the main suppliers of aerospace parts and services in Latin America, which are concentrated in the Brazilian Aerospace Cluster, along with technology-based incubators and, last but not least, excellent cutting-edge research centers.
